Sustainable Finance Ireland is looking for a Sustainability Communications Intern to join our growing team in order to assist with all aspects of communications, advertising and marketing – immediate start on a contract basis, (20 hours a week.)

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, hard-working, social media savvy, with a passion and determination to help progress the green and sustainable agenda within the Irish finance sector.

The successful applicant will gain hands-on experience delivering on corporate communications projects both nationally and internationally.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting in the coordination and preparation of internal and external communications in support of the Irish Sustainable Finance Roadmap, Climate Finance Week Ireland as well as UN related sustainable finance projects.

• Assisting in the publication of internal and external communications including stakeholder updates, newsletters, thought pieces, blogs and social media updates.

• Researching and providing reports in relation to developments within the domestic and global sustainable finance sector.

• Providing advice on sustainable finance topics and issues.

• Providing support to senior members of Sustainable Finance Ireland.

Skills and Experience

• Passionate about sustainability within the finance sector and appreciates the significance of the green agenda.

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication skills.

• An effective networker with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Excellent Excel skills and experience with other Microsoft Office programmes, e.g. PowerPoint, Access, Word, etc.

Qualifications

• University Degree in a related field

• Knowledge of the sustainability agenda

About the Role:

Sustainable Finance Skillnet has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Support person to join a team on a fixed term, part-time basis.

As this is a diverse role, the candidate will need to have strong multi-tasking, organisational and prioritisation skills, and 3+ years’ previous experience working in an office environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide administration support
Organise and attend meetings as required
To ensure the financial rules of the company are followed
Take minutes at meetings and prepare for circulation following meetings.
To manage the day-to-day income and expenditure.
Maintain and update network training database.
Data entry
Accounts receivable and accounts payable, reconciliation, status reporting and credit control.
To support the Financial Administrator
Key Competencies & Strengths

Proficient in MS Office Suite
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent organisational, planning and coordination skills
Excellent attention to detail
Proven ability to work supportively and efficiently within and across the team and build good working relationships
Be a proactive self-starter with an ability to work effectively remotely

Salary: €17,000 per annum DOE
Part time, fixed term contract
