In welcoming the fifth Climate Finance Week Ireland, event Chair and Director of the UNDP-FC4S, Stephen Nolan says, “I want to thank all our partners across Irish-located finance community for their continued support for Climate Finance Week, at what is a critical time for the sustainable finance agenda.
The geopolitical climate grows increasingly turbulent, but the necessity for action on climate change remains.
I am glad to see Climate Finance Week Ireland play its role in helping to facilitate an essential dialogue in how we rise to meet these challenges.”
Climate Finance Week Ireland Chief Sponsor, AIB’s CEO Colin Hunt says, “The breadth of activity and speaker-line up for 2022 Climate Finance Week reflect that climate change is the most pressing challenge of our generation.
AIB is once again delighted to partner in this important series of events where we will continue to contribute to the discussions throughout the week.
We are particularly looking forward to opening Climate Finance Week with the 6th AIB Sustainability Conference which will start the week with inspiring speakers from Ireland and beyond.”
Climate Finance Week Ireland has undergone exponential growth in the 5 years since its inception, going from 600 attendees in 2018 to over 5.5 thousand at last year’s event, and seeing event social media impressions increase from over 280 thousand to 10.4 million across the same time period.
